The story we tell about ourselves and the world around us stems from two sources: our experiences and the impressions formed in our central nervous system, composed of the brain and spine. Every emotion, thought, and action arises from the images crafted within this system. But beyond this biological foundation, there exists a deeper reality—consciousness, or the soul. One gateway to this state of consciousness is through the simple yet profound act of breathing. Breath serves as a bridge between our biological and spiritual selves. But the more mindful we become of our breathing, the less the mind clutters, allowing us to touch the space of pure awareness.
